Good deals on games

Postby azquelt » Fri Oct 16, 2009 3:18 pm

There are currently quite a few good games on offer around the place. Although most of you probably see the Steam front page regularly, I thought we should have a thread for any good deals people have seen, either online or in Bath.

Gordon Freeman won Gamespot's "Greatest Video Game Hero" contest, beating Mario in the final with 55.8% of the vote.

For this reason, all Half-Life games are currently 55.8% off (just in case there's anyone here who still hasn't played any of them).

Call of Duty 4 is only £10 on Steam this week.

This is a great deal for those of you who still don't have it.

Also L4D2 is only £13.39 on Steam. With the free DLC just released if you don't have it yet now is a great time.

Good Old Games has 30% off Sci-Fi simulators this weekend which includes the Descent and Freespace games.

Freespace 2 is probably the best space dogfighting game you're likely to find anywhere at this point.

Freespace 2 is awesome, Descent is equally awesome. Think I previously bought these already though on GoG from their Interplay sale they did a while back.

Codemasters racing games are 75% off.

Just for reference that puts DiRT 2 at £7.49 and GRID at £4.99
